El concepto de la propuesta: Reconocer los elementos esenciales de la identidad de Kotor fue nuestro principal objetivo en la búsqueda de un argumento sólido en el enfoque conceptual del diseño del estadio. Los elementos naturales del paisaje y los elementos artificiales de la ciudad se unen en una sola experiencia que hacen de Kotor un lugar especial, las montañas de piedra, una visión dominada por los fuertes relieves de las montañas Orjen y Lovcen con sus texturas rocosas y acompañadas de pinceladas dispersas de vegetación conforman el paisaje único de Boka Kotorsa. Por otro lado, su paisaje natural está acompañado de una arquitectura medieval de calles sinuosas y estrechas, una arquitectura estereotómica que sobrevivió a múltiples terremotos que atestiguan la rica historia de Kotor con su legado romano-bizantino, así como los góticos y renacentistas. Kotor retiene una arquitectura de alta calidad, un entorno construido en armonía con el paisaje.
The concept of the Proposal: Recognizing the essential elements in Kotor's identity was our main goal in the search for a solid argument in the conceptual approach to stadium design. Natural elements of the landscape and artificial elements of the city come together in a single experience that make Kotor a special place, the stony mountains, a visual dominated by the strong reliefs of the Orjen and Lovcen mountains with their rocky textures and accompanied by scattered brushstrokes of vegetation make up the unique landscape of Boka Kotorsa. On the other hand, its natural landscape is accompanied by a medieval architecture of winding and narrow streets, a stereotomic architecture that survived multiple earthquakes that testify to the rich history of Kotor with its Roman-Byzantine legacy as well as the Gothic and Renaissance ones. Muro, puerta, piedra y arco son los elementos que identificamos como la esencia de esta ciudad única. Nuestro proyecto parte de una lectura contemporánea de estos elementos, que evoca la rica historia del lugar. Se trata de un proyecto que busca crear un elemento integrador dentro de la morfología urbana de Kotor, un elemento singular y reconocible para los ciudadanos que genere una conexión entre la belleza histórica de la arquitectura medieval y la pasión contemporánea por el fútbol. Partiendo de estos elementos, hemos creado un proyecto que se integra en el entorno y se convierte en un revitalizador urbano, ofreciendo una espacialidad evocadora a través del juego tridimensional del arco con una estética estereotómica que refleja la fuerza de la ciudad. En los primeros pisos de las gradas se ubicaron los locales comerciales para que el edificio tuviera una relación constante con el entorno y que no se redujera simplemente a eventos deportivos.
Wall and Gate, Stone and Arch are the elements that we recognize as constituting the DNA of this unique city, our project makes a reading of these elements and a contemporary interpretation that at the same time evokes elements of the history of the place. Our project is a search for an integrating element within the urban morphology of Kotor, a singular element recognizable by the citizens and capable of generating a connection between the historical beauty of medieval architecture and the contemporary passion of football. We start from the wall and the gate, from the stone and the arch to generate a project that dialogues with the environment making this place become an urban revitalizer and that at the same time offers an evocative spatiality from the three-dimensional game of the arch with a stereotomic aesthetic that reflects the strength of the city. On the first floors of the stands, the commercial premises were located so that the building had a constant relationship with the environment and that it was not simply reduced to sporting events
